I adopted Eyore my rat on 31st december 2007 he was i think approx 1 year old.
Eyore was on his own with no cage mate so i decided to keep him on my dining room table so he had company most of the time.My Husband would not eat his dinner from the table so everytime i sat down to eat Eyore would be there with his little nose sticking out of the cage looking for food. Eyore passed away in the early hours of friday 07/08/2009 i can't believe he has gone
rats only seem to have little short lives i miss him so much!
TO EYORE WITH LOVE
Time has past since that dreadful day
when the Lord decided to take you away
The emptiness still lingers from time to time

Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

♥These are my tiny paw prints, so perfect and so small.
These tiny little paw prints, no longer touch the ground at all.♥
♥Not one tiny paw print, for now I have my wings.
These tiny little paw prints are now meant for other things.♥

Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.

Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
